World AIDS Day is rapidly approaching and this year AIDS Care Ocean State is doing something a bit different. On Thursday December 1^st from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM we are hosting our "World AIDS Day Community Block Party – Know Your Status!" event at our BroadMed Building parking lot located at 557 Broad Street in Providence. This festive event, sponsored by our Prevention Team, will include free and anonymous HIV/HCV testing, educational information, safe sex supplies, giveaways, and a grilled lunch. HIV/HCV testing will be performed inside BroadMed and in the event of inclement weather, activities will take place indoors at BroadMed.

World AIDS Day, held on December 1^st since 1988, is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and commemorate those who we have lost. It is a day to reflect, to remember, to educate, to offer support and to grow.

This event will be a wonderful day to raise HIV awareness, mingle and connect with individuals in our community and to remind us of why we do what we do! Stop in to chat and have a hot dog!
