Karen Wimmer plays a diverse role at AIDS Care Ocean State, including Human Resources, Information Technology, and general agency operations. She is a Rhode Island native, with short-term adventures living in New Jersey and Cairo, Egypt and a lover of the ocean, animals, books, and antiquing.
Karen has degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, and has worked in IT/Operations for over 35 years, in large organizations (URI, Pfizer, Glaxo), small companies (Brown Vision Care, Community Living of RI) and a few in between.
Over the past 15 years Karen has adjusted her career focus from technology to people, and grown into Human Resources and Non-Profit Operations here at AIDS Care Ocean State.
